Modern Ops has easy and intuitive controls, vivid 3D graphics and exciting gameplay. Players can play as cops or bandits to show off their shooting skills. Clash with other players in 3D FPS with never ending fire and shooting action. Modern Ops is available for both android and iOS. So let’s talk about Modern Ops in detail.

HISTORY OF MODERN OPS – 

Modern Ops was released by EdKon Games GmbH on 19 March 2019. Latest version of the game is 4.59, which came into the game on 4 June 2020. Two seasons have been launched in the game by the developers. Second season is about to end and the third season is expected very soon.

CHARACTERS IN MODERN OPS –

 Modern Ops is a 5v5 FPS battle game. Players can choose from two characters, cops S.W.A.T or bandits. It is a player’s wish if he wants to play as a cop or bandit. Each match has 5 players on each side, trying to kill each other. Players are rewarded points for each kill. And the total of all players makes the team score. 

GAMEPLAY –

Gameplay is very easy. Modern Ops provides tutorials in the starting of the game for new players. Tutorial of the game teaches aiming, shooting targets and throwing grenades. Once the tutorial is finished the player can start playing. Players can move left, right, front and back with the joystick. There are different icons for guns, grenades, health and scope. Players can easily handle the controls, that’s not an issue. 

There are 5 players in each team. Players can choose either to play as cops or bandits. A match lasts for 5 minutes, players try to kill their enemies by gun, knife or by grenades. Each kill gives a point to the player. The total of all 5 players is team score. The team with more points is crowned as winners.

The player is given an AK-47 as the main weapon along with a pistol and a knife. After each game players are given reward points and cash. Reward points can be used to upgrade weapons and armors. While cash points can be used to buy guns, skins, unlocking scopes and magazines.

CUSTOMIZING CONTROLS –

 Modern Ops let players customize the controls of the game. The default controls of the game are quite easy but players can customize them according to their need and comfort. Players can resize the button size and change the location of buttons as well. In default there Is no fire button. Players just need to aim at enemies and their firing will start automatically. But if players feel uncomfortable with this they can change it as well.

To turn on the fire button players can follow following steps – 

• Go to the setting on the top right corner on the home page.
• Then go to controls and click it.
• Then go to the ‘Auto Fire’ option and turn it off.

If players feel uncomfortable with the location of the fire button they can customize it as well. Players can also turn on and off aim assist. Aim assist makes aiming on target easy for players. Auto changing of weapons can also be turned on and off as well.

Modern Ops has a large number of weapons to choose from. It includes AR, SMG, SHOTGUN, PISTOLS and KNIVES.

AR (ASSAULT RIFLE) –

 AK-47, FAMAS, SG550, M16A4, G36C, SCAR, P416, AUG A3.

SMG(SUB MACHINE GUN) –

SMG guns available in Modern Ops are STEYR TMP, PP BIZON, UMP-45 and VECTOR.

LIGHT MACHINE GUN –

Machine guns available in the game are RPK, FM MAG, M249, L86LSW.

SHOTGUN – 

Shotguns available in the game are SPAS12, BENGALLI NOVA, MODEL 870, REMINGTON.

SNIPER RIFLES –

Sniper rifles in Modern Ops are DRAGUNOV, SCOUT, VSS, BARNETT WILDCAT, AWP, HK417.

PISTOLS –

Pistols available in Modern Ops are HK USP, WALTHER P99, TAURUS 44, SAUCER226, GLOCK18, DESERT EAGLE.

FLIP KNIFE –

Knives available in the Modern Ops are-

 BATTLE KNIFE, BUTTERFLY, KARAMBIT, FLIP KNIFE, PUSHDAGGER.

MODES IN MODERN OPS –

Modern Ops is offering a lot of game modes to its players to keep them glued to the game. Modern Ops is adding new mode almost after every update.  Currently there are 7 modes available in Modern Ops, which makes the game more exciting and enjoyable. Let’s know about each mode in detail.

RANDOM MODE –

 If players choose this mode, the game will automatically choose the map for the player. A random mode match is 5 minutes long. Random mode is pre unlocked, while other modes unlock at different levels. In random mode players can choose a primary weapon (any AR, SMG, Machine gun), along with a pistol and a knife. Rewards can be earned after completion of the match.

TEAM DEATHMATCH – 

Team deathmatch mode isn’t pre unlocked. This mode unlocks when players reach level 3. Players get rewards after unlocking this mode which can be used to purchase weapons skins, attachments and for upgrading of weapons and armor. In this mode 5 players compete against each other. Team with higher points wins the title of victory along with rewards. This match lasted for 5 minutes. Players have the same combination of guns as in random mode- a primary gun along with a pistol and knife. 2 smoke and frag grenades are also given to each player per respawn.

POINT CAPTURE – 

This game mode unlocks at level 4. In this mode players have to stay in a base which is decided anywhere in the map. As long the players of a team stay in the base, their domination percentage increases. In the end the team with more domination percentage is declared as the winner. Players get rewards at the end of the match. This mode is 4 minutes long.

FREE FOR ALL –

This mode unlocks at level 5. This mode is not much different than other modes. Players are free to take any gun of their wish along with a pistol and knife. The player with 25 kills or most kills if kills of all players are less than 25 is crowned as the winner of the match. Duration of this mode is 5 minutes. 

KNIVES ONLY –

 As the name says knives only, players have only a knife to take down their enemies. No gun is available in this mode. There are many types of knives available in the game, from which the players can choose from the list is as under – 

Battle knife, Butterfly, Karambit, Flip knife, Push dagger. Players can choose any knife as per their wish to take down enemies during a match. Player with most kills at the end of the match is crowned as the winner of the match. Duration of the match is 5 minutes.

ARM RACE –

This mode unlocks at level 10. Players can’t choose their weapon in this mode. In this mode there is a pre-decided list of weapons and this list is the same for all players. Players get a better weapon after every 2 weapons. Like player starts match with ump45, then after making 2 kills player vector then AK47 and so on. This mode has a total of 15 weapons. The last weapon is flip knife which comes at 15 position. Player to get killed from a knife is crowned as the winner of the match. Every player has the same helmet and vest. The match duration in this mode is 10 minutes.

BOMB – 

Bomb is the latest mode in the game. This mode unlocks at level 12. There are 2 roles in this mode. First terrorist who deployed bombs and should explode the bomb. The other role is of counter – terrorists who should defuse the bomb or eliminate the terrorists with bombs. There are 5 players in the team of both terrorists and counter terrorists. This mode match has 10 rounds in total where one round is one-minute long. So a match is of 10 minutes in this mode. Team who blasts more bombs or kills more terrorists is crowned as the winner of the match.

MAPS AVAILABLE – 

There isn’t much difference among the gameplay across the maps. The gameplay depends on the mode of the game. Map for the match is selected automatically by the game.
