What is Dota 2 and How Dota 2 Prize Pool raised $ 40 million for TI10?
Dota 2 or Défense of the Ancient 2 is a MOBA or Multi-Player online Battle arena.
The video game was developed and published by Valve Software.
As the name suggests it is the sequel of Dota which was released earlier in 2009.
Two teams can play at a time as rivalry with five players each. Every Player from all 10 players independently controls their Character known as a Hero with exclusive abilities and varied styles of play.
In 2011 Valve started this tournament called ‘The International’ with 16 teams participating. It was the first time Dota was Telecasted for Public viewing.
The prize for Winners then was $1 Million funded by Valve and the hardware was provided by Nvidia.
Since then, Dota 2 has become one of the Biggest Esport Tittle in the world with a global fan base.

2021 with the Total base Prize Pool of $40 million it was a long journey but Valve made it look so easier with their brilliant strategies and amazing fan following made it true.

DOTA 2 TI10
‘The International 10’ of TI10 has to be held in 2020 but because of the ongoing Pandemic, it was delayed for 2021. Now finally Valve has released the date, location, and other details regarding the tournament. But the decision has yet to be made on whether fans will be able to attend this year’s tournament or not. Dota 2 has announced that the tournament will be held between 5th August to 8th August after a daybreak it will be continuing on 10th of August and the Finals will be concluded on 15th August 2021 at ‘Stockholm’ Sweden. Updates are yet to come from Valve about this Prestigious Tournament, Though right now they have stated that :
‘As we continue to plan the event around the shifting landscape presented by the ongoing global pandemic, our focus remains on finding ways to hold a high-quality tournament in the safest way possible.
‘This means we’re waiting to release additional details on attendance options as we gather more information on developments heading into summer. We expect to be able to share more with the community during the month of June.’
Dota 2 launches Supporters Club for the First Time.
As a part of the announcement, Valve also introduced a replacement Dota 2 feature called supporters clubs. Players can buy in-game items like badges and loading screens, with 50 percent of sales going directly to their favorite esports team. The feature will support 17 teams, with more expected to be added over time.
“As more content from other teams is submitted and approved, they will be added to this list regularly,” Valve Said
Dota 2 update introduces Supporters Club, as the names suggest it’s all about the fans who can support their favorite teams by purchasing Bundles of Badges and seasonal equipable. Fans can flaunt their loyalty to the Teams and Game. Teams will provide the content for the supporters Club and get the 50% of the total sales. There will be 3 clubs Bronze, Silver, Gold. Bronze includes Badges, Silver includes Sprays and emoticons, and Gold includes a special in-game HP-bar badge, loading screens, and voice lines. Till now content is provided by 17 teams is added as more content from other teams is provided and approved they will be added to this list continuously.
