CS:GO Patch for Stutter Effect & FPS

CS:GO Patch for Stutter & FPS

Counter strike Global Offensive Players have been facing an issue in the recent times of CS:GO stuttering and FPS drops. The issue had many players left complaining for fixes. Especially in times of quarantine when the number of active and casual players have shot up. In order for Valve to keep them fixated it was important for the issue to be resolved. The issue made the game almost impossible to play with, complained many active players. Therefore CS:GO patch for Stutter & FPS was need of the hour.

What is CS:GO stuttering?

It is basically a rendering issue wherein the screen changes suddenly and it mostly happens if the GPU takes longer time to render a frame than expected, this is what results into what generally is called a “lag” in gaming.

FPS or frames per second is the frequency at which consecutive images are shown on a screen to get a “moving” effect. It is usually set at 60 fps for video games. Higher fps result in a better gaming experience.

So if there is some issue with the game or your GPU, some frames might get skipped not giving you the impression of a “continuous moving scene” thus affecting your gameplay.

Many key CS:GO gamers seem to be affected by this issue including Kenny Schrub.

Valve working on the issue.

Valve has been in the process of fixing the issue of FPS drop. In a recent statement they said,

“A build with a fix for some stuttering affecting NVIDIA users is now available in the CS:GO beta depot.”

While this is going on they said they are looking at some other things which might have also contributed to the stuttering.

This is a great move, through this they can target a base of active users who are using the beta version of the game. If it works out well enough it would be released to the public.

Valve is determined not to upset the players or to show their backs to any new ones.
