If you thought that the PUBG mobile was going to accept defeat and let the intensely popular Call of Duty: Mobile snipe its way to market leadership, you shouldn’t have counted your eggs before they hatched. With competition for top spot tight as ever, this was the perfect time for PUBG mobile, to quite literally shoot its way back and rope in players for more “chicken dinners” with the release of its new update. PUBG mobile has consistently been adding more content to the game to keep players happy, for example, the new Payload mode and Total Death Matches (TDM). Much of it, however, has been forgotten or even gone unnoticed with COD: mobile taking over phone screens, but this newly released update is here with a bang!
PUBG mobile update 0.16.0 features!
- Death Race Mode: Fans of the Death Race movie are certainly going to love this one. Essentially PUBG mobile takes the plot and theme of the movie and injects that in the game. Players in this mode will be able to form teams and battle with vehicles. Almost like a twisted, violent and more graphic Mario Kart, players will race around a short course in vehicles armed for destruction, and attempt to take out rival teams. The course will also have Mario Kart like crates, or item boxes containing powerups. This mode will be playable under the EvoGround mode of the game.
- FPP to TPP switch buttons: I am fairly certain that this is not going to be a popular opinion, but this is certainly my favorite update feature. It is a huge annoyance and pain when you dive into a game of PUBG mobile and find yourself playing in the wrong perspective. Additionally while playing with friends, all of you had to play in the same perspective which can be incredibly difficult and performance hindering factor if you have friends that only play in one perspective, and you in the other. With this latest tweak, you can wave goodbye to those nuisances. PUBG mobile will now let you switch between FPP and TPP perspectives in-game, including while driving which can give players a tactical advantage.
- Erangel gets Snowy!: Just like the Halloween update, Erangel is getting an appropriate add-on mode with Christmas coming soon. Assumed to be North Erangel, players will be able to find snowy patches of land that also will contain some huge loot crates. Players will also find snowy mountains, and be able to use new Ski boards, which funnily enough can be used all around the map.
