Return to Legendary, Clash Royale’s newest season was launched on 3rd February. Some balance changes are yet to hit servers, though.
This will be the *the season of the game and is expected to last for 27 days. As the case in the 7th season, 35 tier rewards are there to be unlocked with the Battle Royale pass unlocking double rewards. The Log-endary tower skin and Crying Royal Ghost emote are the supplementary rewards included in the Pass Royale in this Clash Royale Season 8.
Players having more than 4000 trophies will battle it out in a legendary arena exclusive to season eight.
The balance changes were made to 4 cards in Clash of Clan Season 8:
- Zappies: +20 percent damage, 25 percent slower hits (-0.4s), faster ‘First Attack’ on target (-0.4s) and staggered deploy time (0.15s)
- Barbarian Hut: building lifetime reduced (-10s), spawn time reduced (13.5s to 12.5s), and it will spawn two barbarians when destroyed
- Royal Hogs: six percent more damage
- Witch: faster ‘First Attack’ on target (-0.3s)
No nerfs were made to the game but the changes made to other cards could be identified as buffs. Supercell, the game developers, though are yet to give out a reason for making these changes.
A special challenge Ram Rider 2v2 rush was also made available on Clash Royale. As seen previously, the mode will be boosted up to the King Level for the season .The mode was only available for the first 3 days after which it was replaced by the Lumberjack Rush. the new mode will award the Glorious Log emote.
The changes made for the new season aren’t as attractive made for the previous one which introduced the Firecracker card and overhauled some of the game’s staple decks.
The now buffed Royal Hogs are quite a good addition to the game as they weren’t touched upon for a long time. The buff can now lead to more pushes to the tower with more efficiency. Barbarian Hut and Zappies are now anyways outdated in the current scenario so a nerf would have been a better idea for the two in the Clash Royale Season 8.
