Day 11 of Dreamhack Masters Spring 2020 saw Natus Vincere and Team Vitality confirm their qualification into the next stage. Evil Geniuses triumphed against 100 Thieves but are still not assured of qualification.

Here is a recap of all the matches played on Day 11 of Dreamhack Masters Spring 2020.

1. Europe Group D

An imperious looking Vitality faced a new look Ence in their last league game. Vitality were the firm favorites given how they had played in the competition. They brushed aside Ence easily defeating them 2-0 in no time to secure qualification. They won 16-6 on Mirage and 16-9 on Dust II with “RpK” the top performer.

Vitality looked good in all their matches and managed to win even when “zywoo” wasn’t leading the killing charts.

Natus Vincere faced Ninjas in Pyjamas in the last league game for the CIS giants. Na’Vi knew a win would give them the top spot and a place in the upper brackets directly. They then went on to do the job which was expected of them as they defeated NiP with little hassle. The won 16-8 on Overpass and clsoed the series with a 16-14 victory on Nuke. “s1mple” was back again as Na’Vi’s top performer but it was “Nawwk” who impressed across both the maps.

NiP now face Ence in the last league game of the group stages, with the winner certain of qualification into the next stage.

2. North America Group B

A faltering EG faced against a confident 100 Thieves who recently secured the coaching services of former EG coach “ImAPet”.

100 Thieves started very strongly defeating EG on Vertigo 16:2. EG then replied with a resounding victory of their own winning 16:6 on Overpass. Nuke was the deciding map which after two one sided victories lead to a close encounter. The game did go to overtime where EG came out victorious 19:17.

EG now require other results to go their way to have a chance of qualifying in the playoffs whereas 100 Thieves are assured of a place in the next round.

EG did what was required of them to make the group interesting and end Day 11 of Dreamhack Masters Spring 2020.

Note:- DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 was originally to take place in Jonkoping, Sweden but was shifted online due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The compeition will now have four regional events all taking place in between from 19th May to 14th June. 32 teams have been divided on their regional baese; Asia, Oceania, Europe & North America. DreamHack on its part have increased the prize pool from $250,000 to $300,000. To know the complete schedule, click here.
