Juventus enter into the Esports scene

Italian football giants Juventus FC have partnered with Astralis, the esports giants to enter into the scene. The 4 time CS:Go major champions will operate the esports division of Juventus. 

Giorgio Ricci, CRO of Juventus said in a statement, “The entry into the world of esports not only gives us the opportunity to turn to a new and vast audience, but it is also a testimony of how Juventus is attentive to the evolution of the forms of entertainment and the interests of the public. The club has always been ready to accept new challenges and today we are pleased to undertake this adventure, proud of having once again given concrete application to our philosophy of: Live Ahead.”

Astralis co-CEO Anders Hørsholt who was also present at the launch of the team added that,”“Astralis Group is a pioneer in esports and our approach to performance optimisation on all levels has influenced the entire industry. We already demonstrated our ability to create long-term results, and it’s a natural development of our business to enter collaborations like this. We’re very pleased to be a part of Juventusesports initiative.”

Astralis recently launched its IPO, a first org to do so in esports scene underlining its supremacy. 


Juventus became the second team to make their entry into the esports scene in December.

Shortly after Bayern Munich took baby steps into esports a few days back. Like Bayern, Juventus too will participate in eFootball.pro, a PES competition. They will compete against footballing giants like Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal and Bayern Munich too. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Barcelona from 14th December 2019 to 18th April 2020. 

Juventus have signed three professional players Ettore Giannuzzi, Luca Tubelli and Renzo Lodesert to compete in the 3v3 matches. 

The competition will have 10 teams participating with the top 6 clubs progressing to the playoffs. The first and second placed teams will automatically qualify for the semis. While the other four teams will have to win an additional match to get there.

The team will also participate in eSerie A TIM, organised by Lega Seria A ; a league reserved for the top Italian league teams.
