PUBG just got a whole lot crazier!
The folks at Tencent mobile have decided to combine 2 of the most popular modes of their popular game PUBG. Payload and War, both playable as EvoGround game modes, are now to be playable as one mode.
What’s Payload mode and War?
Payload mode is responsible for introducing rocket launchers and helicopters to PUBG , while War is a more traditional death match-type mode.Payload has the same formula as a classic PUBG match, with a shrinking playing area and having to search for weapons. War is more deathmatch-oriented, with players spawning with predetermined weapons and having the option to loot crates for further weapons. Both of these modes are immensely popular with the player-base, which explains the decision to merge them.
So what’s new?
Players will now spawn with rocket launchers instead of normal SMGs or assault rifles. This is set to up the chaos level by 100, as kills will get easier. Everything else remains the same, with players spawning with a grenade and a medkit as complementaries. The mode will also feature a shrinking play zone, along with restricting respawns as the game nears its end. This will give the mode a more classic-mode type feel.
The mode will be available in EvoGround, where players can choose the mode irrespective of their level progressions.
The update also brings with it the Rudolph Suit and the Charming Reindeer set, available in lucky crates and classic crates respectively.
In conclusion, the new update is enough to keep fans busy and entertained until the next patch.
