Tekken 7’s next DLC fighter is muay Thai champ Tekken 7 Fahkumram. His avatar got Street Fighter trending on Twitter for some today.
The latest character in the Tekken series excited fans of the game due to his close resemblance and muay thai origins.
Fahkumram meaning “roaring sky or thunder “ is also a giant like Sagat measuring close to 7 foot 5 canonically.
In the trailer released by Bandai Namco today, he overpowers poor Marduk after a towering entrance resembling Airwolf delivering a carbonite frozen Han Solo.
“Introducing Muay Thai champion Tekken 7 Fahkumram – he’s ready to enter the ring to fight for his family’s freedom!” the publisher teased in the video description after the character was formally revealed at the Tekken World Tour Finals 2019. The character is a part of the Tekken 7 season 3 pass of premium downloadable content (selling at $24.99). The studio did not specify a specific date for his arrival to the game. Earlier in September 2019, Bandai Namco announced Zafina and Leroy Smith, the latter due some time this winter. Two more fighters would be added to season 3 roster in the spring, to make a total of 4’ signalling that is when Tekken 7 Fahkumram will arrive. He will be joined by a new Thailand fighting stage upon his arrival.
The other character reportedly to be a part of the the four is Tekken 7 Ganryu. The publisher teased is description ever so slightly stating, “a new contender is set to enter the King of Iron Fist Tournament! Prepare to wrestle your opponents with Tekken 7 Ganryu!”
The season 7 of the game was announced in August 2019. As reported by eurogamer.net Smith is described as a “seasoned master of martial arts”. The character is said to have lost his family and home in New York as a part of gang conflict. He will be back along with Wing Chun with him. Zafina made her debut in season 6 as a Egpytian martial artist. With this new season new costumes are also being displayed!
