The revamped version of street Fighter 5 is set to release on 14th Feb 2020.
Capcom recently announced the champion edition of their popular video game, street Fighter 5. The update, titled street fighter V champion edition, will be released on February 19 2020, with a plethora of updates.
What’s New in Street Fighter Champion Edition?
Street fighter champion edition will have all the content from Street Fighter V and its updated arcade edition. It won’t include the Capcom pro tour DLC, brand collaboration and fighting chance costumes, though. The game will also serve as the platform for the return of Gill, the final boss of Street Fighter 3. Everything said and done, the game will have 40 playable characters with more than 200 costumes to choose from, along with multiple game modes. The game modes include story, arcade team battle and online play (casual or competitive).
Street Fighter’s Revival?
While these are impressive features for sure, it remains to be seen how effective the “champion” edition of the game will be in overcoming the multiple controversies it has already faced. While $ 25 is a bit steep for what is basically DLC for a 3 year old game, it should be enough to attract new fans to the series.
