Bigetron RA registered a victory in the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) finals to seal a place in the World League tournament. The best teams of Indonesia battled it out in the regional tournament and Bigeton RA who are also the winners of PMCO fall split 2019, managed to secure a comprehensive victory in the finals. The tournament was moved to an online format from a LAN format in the midst of the Corona virus crisis which has shook the entire world. The tournament took place from the 3rd of April to the 5th of April. A total of 16 teams played 17 matches in 4 different maps to decide the final standings.
Bigetron RA bagged the prize money which was a mammoth share of the overall prize money of $146,000 and book their place in the PUBG Mobile World League (PMWL) East Region.
With 29 kill points, the Pillar Slayers managed to top the table at the end of the first day while the Red Aliens finished second with not much difference in kills. The next day proved to be quite a crucial one for BTR as they leapfrogged to the first place of the table overtaking the Pillar Slayers with 2 chicken dinners. Team Morph climbed 8 positions with 31 kills to finish third in the points table.
After 17 rounds of hard-fought and gruelling matches, BTR emerged victorious, Team Morph finished second and Onic Esports ended up finishing third.
BTR, Team Morph and Onic Esports will now be sweating it out in the SouthEast Asia finals for the prize money of 150,000 and for a place in the World League. However due to the global pandemic (Covid-19), the dates might get rescheduled.
