There is great news for Call of Duty Mobile players as the first major esports competition by the name of Call of Duty Mobile World Championship has been announced for the game. Activision the developer of the game will be holding the competition. They have announced prizes amounting to $1 Million for the tournament. They revealed the hosting of such a tournament via twitter,

Call of Duty has really shown its mettle by becoming immensely popular in the first year of releasing itself. All this comes after it was released at a time when games like PUBG and Clash Royal were dominating the market. This itself is a proof of the performance of the game. 

How to qualify for the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship?

The qualifiers have already begun. They will go on from April 30th to May 24th. 4 open qualifiers will be held on the 4 weekends in the duration in the timeline. 

All the players ranked veteran or higher will get a chance to participate and if they play well they might get selected on to stage 2. Each weekend there will be ten ranked matches. You will recieve points for each match based on your wins and current rank. If on any of the weekends you score more than 80 points you get selected for Stage 2.

If you were to qualify for stage 2 you will have to make a team with the other players who have qualified. More details regarding stage 2 will be released soon. 

To keep the game fair Call of Duty has banned the use of any external devices whether it is wireless controllers, mouse, keyboard etc.

What’s exciting is the fact that even if you do not qualify for the subsequent stages, you will get various in-game rewards just for doing the sign-up for the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship itself.
