It’s that time of the year football fans! FIFA 20 Team of the Year is around the corner with fans anticipated to see who makes the cut. The TOTY is expected to be in a 4-3-3 formation and Liverpool dominating the lineup. Here is our prediction for the 11 that could feature in the team:
Goalkeeper (GK): Alisson Becker, Liverpool
It would be a surprise if the Brazilian doesn’t make the team. Awarded as the best Goalkeeper award at the France Football’s Ballon D’or Ceremony, the big man won the Copa America and the Champions League as well. He is one of the many Liverpool players expected to make an appearance on the team.
His 89 rating can be expected to go upto to 94 and could cost around 43000-45000 coins on both PS4 and XBox One

Right Back- Trent Alexander Arnold, Liverpool
Just 21 years of age, Trent Alexander Arnold has now established himself as the best RB in the game. Having played a crucial role in Liverpool’s campaign in the Premier League and the Champions League , he like Alisson has minimal competition.
We can expect the normal 82 rating to shoot up to 92 in the TOTY edition which can cost around 150,000 points on PS4 and XBox One.

Centre Back- Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool
The third Liverpool player to make an appearance on the team, van Dijk’s will surely be a part of the team. Voted as PFA Player of the Year in the Premier League and the Champions League van Dijk slots easily into the heart of defense.
His TOTY year card could have an astronomical rating of 98 , with defending rated as 99! With such high statistics expect the card to star around 550,000 coins on PS4 and XBox One.

Centre Back- Matthijs de Ligt, Ajax & Juventus
There is a high probability that van Dijk’s national teammate de Ligt could partner him in the TOTY version as well.Aged 19, he captained Ajax to a semi final finish at the Champions League losing out narrowly to Totthenham. De Ligt’s 85 overall could jump to 92 rating.
Expect his card to cost you around 50,000 coins on PS4 and XBox One.

Left Back- Andrew Robertson, Liverpool
The Liverpool domination is set to continue with Roberston expected slot in the left back position. The work rate and his unending energy could propel him to a spot in the team.
The Scotland captain 85 overall rating is expected to go upto 92 with passing rated as 93.
The card can cost around 250,000 coins on both consoles.

The nicest man in football was played in a new role by Chelsea manager Maurizo Sarri. Though not at his highly efficient he still managed to pick up the Europa League trophy and add goal threat to his game.

Leading Ajax’s charge with de Ligt, de Jong too had a very successful year for both club and country. He also secured a dream transfer to Barcelona for around 68 million pounds.

Central Attacking Midfielder- Marco Reus, BVB
The German international seemed to have found his creativity and goal scoring threat back in 2018-19 after being plagued with multiple injuries previously. He managed to score 23 goals and provide 13 assists throughout the season but falling just short to second in the Bundesliga.
He too can have a 92 overall if selected and can easily cost above 400,000 coins on both consoles.

Right Wing- Lionel Messi, Barcelona
The G.O.A.T of football will surely make it to the TOTY. Messi rediscovered his best form during the year having scored 51 goals in 50 appearances. He also won the Ballon d’Or for a record breaking 6th time.
His base card of 94 can rise to a sensational 98 and cost you above 1 milion on both the consoles.

Central Striker- Robert Lewandoski, Bayern Munich
There are many possible contenders for the striker position but we have gone with the Polish international Lewandoski. The rationale behind his selection is his form in the Champions League last season and the current goal scoring form he is in.
His 89 overall could shoot up to 95 and cost around 750,000 points on the consoles.

Left Wing- Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus
Ronaldo had a somewhat of a quiet season according to his own standards. He still managed to win the Seria A in Italy and quickly became a fan favourite. His position is highly debatable with many other wingers impressing during the season; but considering his popularity it may be hard to overlook him.
His 93 overall could rise to 97, just short of Messi’s TOTY rating and cost above 1 million coins on PS4 and XBox One.
