NIGMA and Team Secret reaches Dream League

Nigma Esports

Two titans of the game return.

Puppey Team Secret

Nigma and Team Secret, two titans of the game returned to the top of the fold. Team Secret, led by Ivanov and team Nigma, led by Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi faced little to no challenge in destroying the opposition and establishing their dominance. Both of the teams annihilated the challengers to progress through the open qualifiers for the Dream League Season 13 major.

Different teams, similar stories

Team secret reached the finals without really breaking much of a sweat. Only the combination of  Jonáš “SabeRLight-” Volek, Milan “MiLAN” Kozomara, and Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev gave them problems. But even then they managed to win both games. The newest addition to the team, Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen was barely touched. Giving the team a big boost in carrying out a late-game comeback.

They continued this pattern into game two, as they blew a big lead at the 20-minute mark. The team then came through with an exceptional performance by  Michał “Nisha” Jankowski, with an extremely well-played Viper.

Nigma, on the other hand played 4 games, none of them lasting longer than 22 minutes. They put on quite a show, as they defeated their first opponents in just 21 minutes and followed it up by clearing the next round in just 11.

OG Seed were the only team which seemed to trouble the former members of Team Liquid. This also proved to be short-lived, however as Nigma closed out the match in two sub-thirty minute games.

The road ahead

Team Nigma and Team Secret now have the opportunity to make it into the Dream League Season 13 Major, by virtue of being locked in the closed qualifiers. If they are unable to beat the teams waiting for them there, they still have a chance to qualify for the WePlay! Bukovel Minor EU qualifiers.

Competition for those spots begins on 3rd November.
