PUBG Latest Updates

Game Modes PUBG

90 Fps, HDR Support and Much More…

In the latest bid to keep up with the latest technology, Tencent announced multiple updates to their popular multiplayer video game PUBG. Players Unknown Battleground, the popular Battle Royale video game will soon see updates which will enable it to run at 90 fps and much more.

Keeping up with the changing times

High refresh rates are the next big thing in advancing mobile technology, with phones offering upto 120 HZ refresh screens. This enables a smoother viewing experience, and it makes sense for game developers to provide in-game support for such screens.

PUBG mobile currently runs at only 60 FPS, so has been unable to provide its millions of fans with a unique viewing experience.

What’s New?

PUBG MObile latest update 90 fps

At the Snapdragon Tech Summit in Hawaii, Qualcomm announced its Snapdragon chipset. With the help of Qualcomm, Tencent aims to soon provide players with a 90 fps gaming experience. Through Tencent’s popular third-person shooter, Qualcomm aims to show the power of its new Snapdragon 865 chipset.  The chip promises massive gains over the outgoing Snapdragon 855 chip, mostly in terms of gaming

The only problem with this update is that players can only enjoy PUBG at 90 fps if they own a phone with the new snapdragon chipset.  This means that players will have to spend big next year on the latest phones (such as one plus 8).

Furthermore, this update feels a bit dated, due to the fact that most of the industry is moving on to 120 fps, seen in phones such as  the OnePlus 8 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S11, Redmi K30 and others.

Qualcomm also announced that PUBG MOBILE will get support for 10-bit HDR, meaning that the PUBG is set for a massive visual upgrade, further improving the quality of the graphics.
