An epic crossover of Overwatch and CS:Go gives fan the chills!

Overwatch and CS:GO are games which are loved by fans all over the world. So it just made sense when someone did a crossover of the two games. The result, was just epic and made fans wish if this could be the reality .

It has been more than 20 years since Valve launched Counter Strike and fans over the years have dedicated homages to the game.

Be it the artistic talent for some incredible skins or some epic frag movies that keep the fans hooked to the game.
One fan recently added some new features to CS:GO, to those commonly seen in Blizzard’s FPS. The features included game announcers, kill streak indicators, a character select and some very imaginative features which sadly can never make into the real game.

Youtuber ‘K1nex’ recently stitched a match together featuring some of the scene’s best pro players (coldzera, nitro, Stewie2k, JW) and the aforementioned Forsaken (yeaaa, the word.exe guy). These players were also given Overwatch specific traits like Ultimatas. 

The stitched version involves a character select screen to choose through the multiple CT variants of CS:GO. The feature could be looked upon by Valve. Since it recently released different skins for players in the Shattered Web Operation.

Another feature depicted in the showmatch, showed an AWPer activate a version of Widowmaker’s Infra Sight Ultimate ability. Essentially accessing wall hacks for a short period of time.   

Later, after a player managed to grab an ace, the lower left portion of the screen turns into red showcasing the player is on “fire”. Also added was the streak icon which on its first look seems interesting. And something new that Valve can try to put it into the game.

Other additions show rank indicators bordering the player portrait, a post game accolade screen. A new design for displaying the match score and the player’s inventory. 

A lot of things have no chance of translating into the CS:GO scene. But the Youtuber’s vision and creativity for an incredible crossover calls for an appreciation.
