Part 2 of CSGO and Cricket equivalents

There aren’t only 3 CS:Go teams who can be comparable to international cricket teams. We have made sure to cover all 10 teams who participated in 2019 ICC cricket world cup in a 3 part blog. Here is the part 2 of CSGO and cricket equivalents.

1. Australia and Astralis

Part 2 of CSGO and Cricket equivalents starts of with none other than the Danish powerhouse Astralis who we think are similar to Australia.

Australia and Astralis are hands down the most successful and dominant teams of cricket and CS:Go respectively. There was a time when these two teams were considered unbeatable.

Astralis and Australia caught their opponents off guard with a brilliant tactical approach to the game. The teams also played mind games to nerve down their opponents when their backs were against the wall.

Astralis have a won 3 back to back CS:Go majors and 4 in total, a record in the CS scene whilst Australia too have won 3 world cups back to back, and a total of 5; a record too.

Now onto the players, Ricky Pointing and “Gla1ve” captain and the IGL of the respective squads revolutionized the game and forced all other teams to play how they wanted them to play. The teams have also been blessed with some superstars who arguably are the best players, consider Steven Smith and “dev1ce”.

2. Afghanistan and Ence

The underdogs of both the sports have a rags to riches story. Afghanistan and Ence both were unknown entities until they showed up at the biggest stage.

Ence during their dream run at IEM Katowice 2019 upset some big names to announce their arrival at the grand stage. As for Afghanistan, they have upset Pakistan, Sri Lanka and West Indies and are on the cusp of becoming a super power in the region.

The teams have been built around youngster like Rashid Khan and “serej” but they do have the presence of some veterans like Mohammed Nabi and “allu” in their ranks.

3. Pakistan and compLexity

Pakistan and compLexity are teams which are very unpredictable in their approach. If they turn up they are the invicbles, but if they don’t show up they lose to teams which no one can imagine.

Pakistan showed up at ICC Champions Trophy 2017 and went to win it, compLexity were at peak during the recent Blast Pro Series where they managed to fend off competition from some very big teams and were crowned champions.
