Tom and Jerry was not just any other animated show. It was an emotion for a lot of people during their formative years including me. I used to remain hooked to the television for hours watching Tom and Jerry during my childhood days. The episodes of Tom and Jerry chronicled the tenacious relationship between a cat, Tom and Jerry, a mouse, Mouse. Although the two were at loggerheads in most of the episodes, there were instances when they were friends and shared a good rapport. The director of Tom and Jerry, Gene Deitch passed away last Thursday at the age of 95. In memory of him, I have written this article which comprises of the top 5 Tom and Jerry games.
5. TOM AND JERRY TALES
At number 5 in our list of Top 5 Tom and Jerry games we have, Tom and Jerry Tales. In this game, Jerry takes on the daunting task of defeating Tom and leaving behind a mess which Tom has to clean up and be answerable. The graphics are 3D and there are four game modes: Touch Time, Time, Speed and Break.
4. TOM AND JERRY IN INFURNAL ESCAPE
Tom and Jerry in Infurnal Escape is a cartoon game with a rather complicated plot: In an attempt to catch Jerry, Tom pulls the carpet which Jerry is standing on. But instead of Jerry, a piano comes down and crushes Tom. Tom is sent to hell, where a big red dog puts him in a cauldron to cook him. Fortunately, a fairy-cat appears and offers to help Tom escape provided that he has to go back to the living world and collect as many golden bones as possible. That’s where the game begins, with hidden golden bones, funny looking but tough enemies, and the annoying little devil Jerry who tries to make Tom’s life miserable or aids the enemies. Tom and Jerry Top 5 Games no 3. Tom and Jerry: The Ultimate Game of Cat and Mouse! Is a retro platforming game developed by Software Creations. In this game, Tom has taken Jerry’s cousin Tuffy from him and Jerry must travel through 5 worlds with 3 stages. Each stage represents a certain theme. You’ll find yourself in all kinds of places in the house; in the furnace, the kitchen, or even on top of an NES console. The game was developed by Software Creations staff members Paul Murray, David McLachan and Geoff Follin.
2. TOM AND JERRY IN WAR OF THE WHISKERS
Tom and Jerry in War of the Whiskers is a fighting video game developed by VIS Entertainment, published by NewKidCo and distributed by Warner Bros.The objective of the game is to defeat your opponent in a set amount of time and rounds. There are three types of gameplay. First is Challenge mode, where the player fights a certain set of characters (The opponents are the enemies of the character chosen from classic Tom and Jerry cartoons) until either Monster Jerry, a bigger and scary mutated Jerry, or Robot Cat, one of Tom’s creations, is fought and knocked-out. Another is Versus, where a basic one-on-one fight is held. The last is Tag Battle, where a player work by himself or with a friend to fight two enemies.

Tom and Jerry in House Trap is a kids action video games released in 2000 for PlayStation.
It is a split-screen-trap-em style game where the player has to set up traps and go collect weapons from all over the house to attack their opponent. In the game, Player 1 is Jerry and Player 2 is Tom. In level 14 of the game, Tom is replaced by Mechano but is still available in multiplayer modes.
