Amazon Comes Out With The Exciting ‘Crucible’

Crucible Amazon

Amazon through its gaming wing Amazon Game studios has announced the release of the first major game of the Studio by the name of Crucible. Crucible is a third person shooter based in a jungle like environment in a fiction future timeline. At its base it might be like Overwatch but in gameplay they are quite different. The game can be said as a much derived version of the former. The game in fact, when you play it seems much more like a new experience rather than something if an upgrade to the other games in the same genre.

The game will be released today (i.e 20th May 2020)  on PC. What makes this unique is the fact that it also incorporates a lot more strategy than its competitors, not as much as League of Legends or DOTA 2 but a lot greater than simple shooter or Battle Royale games.

Gameplay of Crucible

Crucible by Amazon Game studios

The gameplay involves rosters which have different characters having different abilities which each one has to perfectly master and match them up with your teammates. The highlight of the game is the Heart of the Hives which features 2 teams having 4 players each who move around a map and the objective is to capture and defend three 3 places in the map while getting attacked with AI controlled enemies.

The game is like the typical MOBA game, each character has different abilities, including speed, fighting ability etc. For example a character might have high speed but will have low health on the other end of the spectrum a character might be very slow but will have a huge health bar to compensate. So it is all purely based on strategic thinking and team coordination.

Overall impression

I believe the game has the potential and clearly justifies the amount of time Crucible has taken in being released by the Amazon Game Studio. With the sweet environment and the blend of smart gameplay this game has the likes of me at least as of now, but lets see how well is it received and if the game stand up to the hype it is making!
