With the Star Wars movie franchise being rekindled a few years ago, the launch of a new Star Wars game was long overdue, this one coming after nearly nine years of its predecessor in Star Wars The Old Republic.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the better part of half a century, the George Lucas inspired Star Wars entertainment franchise has captured millions of hearts across the globe and with no disagreement is one of the largest brands in the world today. So its no surprise, that with the launch of this new game, enthusiastic Padawans, and Jedis have been digging around and maybe have located some easter eggs. If by some surprising chance you haven’t seen the Star Wars franchise, then here is the perfect opportunity to do that, because here comes a spoiler alert!
Without trying to ruin the game for you all, let’s just say that there is finally an explanation for the mysterious Starkiller base, present in the game. The Starkiller base, an icy planet located in the unknown regions of the universe acted as a stronghold for new villans the First Order for years after the fall of the nefarious Galactic Empire led by fan-favorites Lord Sidious and of course Darth Vader. Exciting isn’t it!
Gameplay of Star Wars Jedi A fallen Order is unique and impressive.
Friendship. A key value that Star Wars has always done well to show its power. And that’s exactly how Star Wars Jedi: A Fallen Order starts. Your lead characters throughout A Fallen Orders story will be Cal Kestis and a lovable BD-1 droid with a secret mission. The plot is set after the Jedi Purge that takes place in Star Wars Episode, The Revenge of Sith. Cal, a Jedi Padawan is in hiding where he comes across a BD-1 droid, where the two then become inseparable solving puzzles and missions together to fight against the Sith.
Tasked with completing a scavenger hunt to find “force-sensitive” children to replenish the Jedi Order post the Purge, Cal has a real mountain to climb. EA and Respawn have done incredibly well to make it feel like a real hike for gamers, and tie that into the story nicely. Cal is merely a Padawan. Unlike most games of this nature, he doesn’t start overpowered, rather frankly underpowered. Every battle or encounter is terrifying for young Cal and, unlike other Star Wars games, gamers cant just spam the use of their lightsabres. A Fallen Order makes it imperative for gamers to use strategy and logic to defeat enemies and complete challenges.
Between missions, time can be spent by exploring the incredible Star Wars Universe and solving puzzles and tasks to get upgrades and new skills for your lead characters, essential to complete the games more difficult missions. Star Wars Jedi: A fallen Order can be played on the XboxOne, PS4 and on the PC. In the words of wise master Yoda “Feel the force. May the force be with you” Good Luck Jedis!
