So we have been closely following the new about Valorant and every small update they are giving us. It has been announced officially that the very awaited game by Riot Games, will be released starting June second in North America, Europe, South Korea, Brazil, Oceania, Japan. The game Valorant is currently in closed beta since April 7 which is supposed to end on May 28th. This gives the team to reset the accounts before the big roll out from 2nd June.
Anna Dolon, executive producer of Valorant at Riot Games commented “Our goal has always been to bring Valorant to as much of the world as soon as possible, so we’re hyped to be able to do so on June 2,”. “The team looks forward to starting our decades-long commitment to servicing the global Valorant community. This is just the beginning of our journey together.”
Valorant Creates Hype
Even during the closed beta program the game managed to get almost 3 million players daily, a clear indicator that the game has the potential to win in the market it is presented with. Along with the extra advantage of being released in the lockdown period the game is reportedly set to take the markets on a roll.
The game also almost broke the record of the most concurrent viewers of the same game on Twitch with almost 1.7 million people watching the closed beta game stream, just a tad bit behind the current record holder by League of Legends of 1.74 Million. The game in a way has already made an impact on the market with professional players switching to it already. I guess it’s a beast ready to be fed!
Riot games commented that all the players who were a part of the closed beta “will start fresh, progressing from the same starting line as they compete with players around the world.”, this makes sense as to give everyone an equal playground.
