Since the release of Call of Duty Mobile, there have been numerous comparisons to PUBG mobile. Both games are developed by Tencent Games so there similarities are inevitable. For example, the loadout feature was added to the team deathmatch mode.
Now another mode by the name of Domination has been added. Youtuber and gamers Wynnsanity gave audiences a sneak peak at the upcoming ‘Domination mode’. He was testing the beta version (0.16.5) of the game and confirms that these changes will be added to the EvoGrounds section. This mode is already available on COD. So is PUBG domination a copy?
There are two modes based on the Warehouse map. One is the Arena training and the other is Team Deathmatch. Arena training is the older version of the deathmatch mode, where you spawn and pick guns from a selection on the table. Team Deathmatch is the new version which has the loadout you set before starting the match. In addition to this the team deathmatch in the Ruins map is now called Assault.
In this mode you have a squad and the aim is to capture an area. To capture an area you have to basically stay at that place long enough to achieve “domination”. A progress bar will tell how close you are to achieving domination. There are no limits on kills or spawns. There are three areas marked A,B and C. These will be activated during the match. The team that captures two areas will emerge as victor.
However, there is still no confirmation from PUBG corp. Or Tencent about this new mode. But since beta tests are clearly being done we can expect to see this mode at some point this year. Till we play the mode itself the question remains if PUBG Domination a copy or not.
