Asus, the Taiwan based technology company known for making gaming phones and laptops is organising an esports tournament by the name of Battle of Gods. Ausu announced Battle of Gods will be a PUBG tournament open only to ROG mobile phone users. ROS stands for Republic of Gaming, which is a line of Asus smartphones having high Gaming performance.
The gaming tournament started on 24th April 2020. The tournament involves gamers involved in Games every Saturday to rise to the top. The Prize Pool for the tournament is Rs.6,60,000. They started this tournament as an effort to make people stay at their homes such that they have something to do in this lock down period and interact socially via gaming. Winners are announced every week and they take their share from the total prize pool of Rs.6,60,000.
Dinesh Sharma the Business Head of smartphone Division Asus India, said, “Abiding by the lockdown rules, we have designed this initiative to continue engagement with our ROG Phone community, enabling ROG Phone users to interact with each other through esports within the safety of their homes Further the tournament gives our ROG Phone users a perfect opportunity to demonstrate their gaming skills and win big cash rewards. Games are the perfect platform to engage and connect. We thank Tencent India for their support.”
The tournament is going to last 12 weeks. The winners from 16th May, Week 4 were announced in a Tweet by the official account of Asus India,
Registrations for Battle of Gods
The tweet also said that the registrations for next week have started and the competition will be held on 23rd of May. The registration for Week 5 will close on 11 PM on 20th May so register if you are eligible!
