Resident Evil 3 Overview

Resident Evil 3 Overview

Resident Evil 3 Remake, a remake of the original 1999 game and just like the previous remake choses to explore the original story through a modern approach, with redesigned scenes and modern combats. Just like any other survival horror game the protagonist Jill Valentine tries to survive a zombie apocalypse while being hunted by the intelligent bioweapon, Nemesis. Released just a few days back on April 3, 2020 this game has so far generated quite positive reviews from the players. Now the Resident Evil games are known for their incredible horror scenes and this game does not shy away from this responsibility . The horrors seem to be coming at times where you least expect them, another reason why I called it a textbook horror.

PLOT

A ‘T-virus outbreak causes Raccoon City to go into a frenzy. The protagonist is a former member of the Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.). The story discovers the path of Jill as she faces The Nemesis various times throughout the journey. Further disclosing the story might mean giving you spoilers, so we sincerely won’t be doing that. At the risk of sounding a bit exaggerated the story is phenomenal and does give you a lot of surprises.

Gameplay

If you have played Resident Evil 2, you might notice that the game is quite connected having known the previous connection and the locations  of characters makes you wonder at their excellence. But even if you haven’t, you are not missing anything vital to the story.

Throughout the story you will be meeting various side characters, and probably the most important of them is the mercenary Carlos Oliveira, the game’s second playable character. The character also gets a lot of key moments to show of his calibre and importance to the story proceeding further. A prominent difference between Resident Evil 2 and 3 is that you get much more time exploring Raccoon City and it’s dungy alleys making it much more intense.

Final Impressions Resident Evil 3

Overall this game comes quite as a bang and has stood well on almost all the parameters anyone can judge. Also releasing the game during this time gives it an edge since most people are at home and looking for something to do.
