The month of April is set to witness a good number of game releases. Some big names are coming out with newer games. Beat COVID-19 by staying indoors and keeping yourself entertained with these games. Here is a list of games releasing in April 2020 – 

1. Resident Evil 3 

Games releasing in April 2020 No 1 Resident Evil

Release date : April 3rd 

The first release for the month of April is part of a well known franchise. Resident Evil 3 is a remake of the PS1 horror survival game. The game follows protagonist Jill Valentine through the T-Virus infected Raccoon City. An interesting addition is the Resident Evil Resistance which is a 4v1 multiplayer game mode. In this mode four players try to escape a building filled with traps set by the fifth player and enemies.

2. Final Fantasy VII Remake

Final Fantasy VII releasing in April 2020

Release date: April 10th 

Remake of another classic PS1 Square Enix game Final Fantasy VII. This game now uses a battle system based gameplay. However keeping in mind the initial game, a secondary mode allows incorporation of turn based elements as well. Every second of this game is filled with action. This chapter will feature the characters Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Barret and Red-XIII


3. Predator : Hunting Grounds

Release date : April 24 

Based on the popular horror movie franchise, Predator : Hunting Grounds is a multiplayer game developed by Sony and Illfonic. The game will also be available on PC which can be downloaded on the Epic Games Store. In this game one player is the predator and the other four are soldiers who are to complete missions on the island.  

4. Trials of Mana 

Release date : April 24th 

Trials of Mana will be released on the PS4, Switch and PC. This game was originally released for SNES in Japan. Until 2019 this game was known as Seiken Densetsu 3, it is a role playing game developed and published by Square Enix. Initially released in 1995 in Japan. This classic RPG has been fully localised and remade. 

The seven playable characters have seven distinct stories. Players can however only use three during any playthrough. The thrilling plot keeps one wanting to play this game. Not to mention the game will be in 3D. 

5. Sakura Wars 

Release date : April 28th

An incredibly Japanese game, Sakura Wars is a Japanese Steampunk media franchise developed by Sega. The first game of this series was released in 1996. Since then five sequels and numerous spin-offs have been released. Players have to fight demons with mech set in 1940s Japan. It mixes visual novels, Japanese culture and action gameplay. This will be the sixth mainline entry of the series and is a soft reboot of Sakura Wars. 

6. Gears Tactics 

Gears Tactics  Game releasing on April 2020

Release Date : April 28th 

Gears Tactics comes from one of the most highly-acclaimed video game franchises – Gears of War. This series has particularly received a lot of success on Xbox. Gears Tactics is a turn-based strategy game that takes inspiration from XCOM. The game is incredibly fast-paced. An interesting storyline should keep the player engaged in the game. The player has to recruit and command a squad capable enough to take down the evil mastermind who creates monsters. The game is set to be released on PC so far however Microsoft has confirmed that game will also be available on Xbox One soon. 

7. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered

Release Date : April 30th 

The last to be released in the month of April, fan-favourite Call of Duty announced the game for PS4. The game allows players to experience classic missions like No Russian, Cliffhanger, The Gulag and many more. You can join the iconic task force 141 to restore order in the world.
