Epic Games has revealed recently that the release of Chapter 2 Season 3 of Fortnite has been postponed to June. The earlier release date was 30th April but due to the recent Covid-19 pandemic that has grappled the world, the release of Chapter 2 Season 3 of Fortnite has been postponed to June 4. Though they have not officially confirmed the reason, this is the most possible reason as most of the developers are forced to work from home. Many do not have the same computing power on their home computers as their work PCs, making it difficult to process graphics, new landscapes and more.
Also, due to guidelines on keeping new games secret, some updates can’t take place outside of the company’s headquarters, according to the BBC
Fortnite is one of the most sought-after games in the gaming industry and it attracts millions of gamers and viewers. Though this will bring a huge disappointment to them, the developers have said that there will be enough exciting and enthralling content to keep the gamers busy.
Chapter 2 Season 3 of Fortnite gets Postponed to June 4.
In a blog post announcing the delay to Season 3, the Fortnite team said it would extend and add new features to the current season.
“We have multiple game updates on the way that will deliver fresh gameplay, new challenges, bonus XP [experience points], and a couple more surprises up our sleeve,” the company wrote.
The goal of Fortnite like other Battle Royal Games is to have a last man standing. Every time a new season is introduced, maps get updated, characters assume special features, thereby enhancing the overall experience of gamers.
Also, Season 2 launched in October 2019 lasted months longer than the developers expected. This was due to multiple delays.
