The talented player Dubu leaves Geek Fam after only a couple of months on the roster
After finishing 3rd in the recently concluded minor, Geek Fam have decided to part ways with Dubu. The talented korean was only with the team for a couple of months, but had quite an impact.
A look back at his career
Geek Fam went through a massive roster change after TI 9. As a result, they became one of the strongest teams in the region.
They managed to grab a spot for the Bukolev minor, despite failing to qualify for the Leipzig Major. In the Bukolev minor, they were one of the favorites. They almost justified the tag, playing brilliantly yet missing out on a slot for a major. They finished third.
DuBu played an essential role in the good showing of the team, showcasing his talent at the highest level.
The Future of Dubu after he leaves Geek Fam
There has been some news regarding the future of Geek Fam. They have officially released a statement regarding the replacement for DuBu. “We would like to thank Dubu for being part of the team,” Geek Fam said. “were blessed to have you as part of the fam and we will cherish the moments spent with us. We wish you good luck and all the best, Dubu!”
They have decided to sign Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon. Whitemon is a 19 year old with less than 2 years of experience.
Without DuBu, it is unclear which player will take over the role of captain since no one has his level of experience. Carlo “Kuku” Palad is the obvious answer considering he has the most experience playing in big matches, but Kenny “Xepher” Deo might be the new leader instead.
The current roster looks something like this:
- Marc “Raven” Fausto
- Karl Jayme
- Carlo “Kuku” Palad
- Kenny “Xepher” Deo
- Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon
