Dota 2 Schedule for January

It is only the first month of the year but the fans are in treat for a fully packed month of Dota 2 action as per schedule january. The first minor of the year, WePlay! Bukovel is scheduled during the second week of January, Dream League Season 13: The Leipzig Major will start during Mid January. The Dota Pro Circuit Tournaments should also not be forgotten. 

Here is our guide to all the events taking place in dota 2 Schedule for January:

a) China Dota 2 Professional League Season 1

DPL returned in June last year with the aim to regain popularity in the Chinese scene. Divided into two tiers, the league provides an opportunity to young and upcoming teams to play against each other and gain promotion where the big boys are waiting to be challenged. The development started off in October with iG.Vitality and Typhoon E-sports club advancing to the professional league. January will host the last two weeks of the group stages. The playoffs will end on 8th January with 8 teams progressing to the quarter finals.  

b) WePlay! Bukovel Minor

The competition will unfold from 9-12th January with the winner guaranteed a spot at the Leipzig Major. The eight teams participating in the competition will also fight for $72,000 of the $300,000 prize pool. The teams are divided into two groups with top two teams from each group progressing to the playoffs. The participating teams are divided as:

Group A : Geek Fam, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Royal Never Give Up, Team Spirit  

Group B: Nigma, Fighting PandaS, Gambit Esports, Furia Esports

c) Dream League Season 13: The Leipzig Major

The next stop on the DPC circuit will be the first major of the year, Dream League Season 13. The WePlay! Bukovel Minor champions will be joined by the 15 other qualified teams. Like all other majors, DreamLeague Leipzig too will have $1,000,000 to offer along with the 15000 Pro Circuit Points. The competition is slotted from January 18-26 starting with the group stage matches followed by the playoffs.
