Antimage Persona- After 24 hours!

So finally the wait was over and the over hyped Antimage Persona – Wei was out!

Just so you know current prize pool of Dota 2 TI 10 sits at freaking 28,467,560 Million Dollars. We speculated it to be around $ 35 Million in the blog What to expect from TI 10?

The official blog post from Dota 2 update is here. The page first displays the new model of Vei, and then gives you 2 buttons to either buy battle pass and purchase levels. Thats a good Strategy and and something that the players are forced to do as Wei ‘The Antimage Persona” is awarded at 305 level of battle pass. Many have already complaint that reaching such levels without spending money is not possible.

First Impressions!

Well at first look, she looked stunning and impressive! Her model felt strong and she resembled Antimage very much. After the first few minutes of excitement, I realized that she is not similar to what Valve had released in first announcement.

In the above picture her hair were longer. Her blades were different and she looked really pretty and leaner. She looked really feminine and badass at the same time.

Well if we just ignore the looks we expected to receive much more than reality.

Antimage Persona Wei Includes:

Wei came with all new Model, new animation, custom hero assets and over 900+ Persona exclusive voice lines. She also came with a mini comic and 3 wallpapers for desktop which you can download from here.

What went wrong?

Well a lot. For starters she has a weird stance which stretches out of cirlce that highlights Dota 2 heroes. Her animation of blink and hitting is underwhelming. There is no custom animation or added particle effects. As this is the new model, any old AM set will not be usable so this model stands as very boring.

Many fans claimed that this Valve slacked off after first releasing the images for Wei. Some fans also said that Cache in Dota 2 are far better than this model. Well we kinda agree as last years Invoker’s Persona was really well built and beautiful.

Well to say the least, fans are very disappointing and are hopeful that Gaben asks his designers to put some more efforts in. Or else fans will have to do with just 900+ voicelines for now.
