Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) developed by Valve Hidden Path Entertainment is by far one of the most sought after FPS games of all time. Playing CS:GO at a competitive level can be a daunting task if you are not fully aware of all the intricacies and details of all weapons. 15. TEC-9
For its price, you can’t go wrong with the fairly reliable TEC-9. Providing a significant boost over lower-tier pistols, the TEC-9 boasts strong damage with a high magazine size and average reload speed. If you have half-decent accuracy, the TEC-9 will demolish enemies even if they have primary weapons.
14. USP-S
Having higher damage than the T-side Glock-18, USP-S has a silencer and can be very accurate when you are going for headshots. Less recommended for beginners.
13. GLOCK-18
A weaker starter pistol than its CT counterpart, the Glock-18 has surprisingly high recoil control as well as a decent rate of fire. Thanks to its large magazine and surplus of reserve ammo, players are encouraged to send out multiple shots in quick succession when hoping to hit a target.
12. P250
Arguably the best upgrade on offer for pistol rounds, the P250 has superior damage and armour penetration over the starter pistols, making it a strong tool in opening rounds as well as eco rounds, later on . Best utilised by players proficient in tapping rather than spamming, its small magazine and reserve ammo are slightly larger than that of the USP-S, rendering it a smart choice over a Glock-18 on T-side. Providing openings for players to land longer-range headshots, the P250 can be purchased by both teams and can deal considerable damage on armoured opponents at certain ranges
11. CZ75-AUTO
Clocking in at $500, the CZ75-Auto is the only fully automatic pistol in CS:GO. Purchasable by both teams, replacing the Five-Seven on CT-side and the Tec-9 on T-side, this pistol has even higher armour penetration than every SMG in the game, making it incredibly powerful in capable hands.
10. Galil
Nice and cheap with good accuracy, recoil and rate-of-fire. The Galil is certainly one of the more manageable assault rifles to use with an inexpensive cost. Such advantages would not be possible without the awesome CS:GO weapon balance, which sees the Galil field reduced bullet damage in compensation. Overall though, this gun is certainly one of the most cost effective assault rifles in the game
9. MP9
Being the cheapest SMG on the Counter Terrorist side, no surprise we added MP9 on our top 15 weapons of CS GO lists. The MP9 is often praised for its high rate of fire alongside its notable movement and jump accuracy. The MP9 can land one-hit headshots on unarmoured opponents, cementing it as a reliable early-game weapon.
8. Galil AR
A welcome addition for those times when you can’t quite afford an AK-47, the Galil AR can prove to be sufficient for those awkward rounds when the entire team is a bit strapped for cash. With a high rate of fire and respectable armour penetration power, the Galil is well worth its $2,000 price tag.Falling slightly short of fatal headshots on armoured opponents, close range interactions are usually won via spraying, whereas long-range engagements require sensible taps with this weapon.
7. Famas
Famas is the only assault rifle to feature in the three round burst ability. Go-to weapon for beginners who are not being able to afford other weapons. If you activate the burst mode, the famas reduces recoil and becomes more accurate,
6. NOVA
As with all pump-action shotguns, missing your first shot will almost always result in you being killed. This is of course expected as shotguns like the Nova can “100 -> 0” if enough pellets hit. Each shot fires 9 pellets, with each pellet dealing decent damage that drops off at medium to long range. In close-quarters, a shotgun will serve you better than any other weapon type that exists. I chose the Nova due to its raw killing power and low cost.
5. SG553
Straight out the box with an optic sight, the SG553 is the most expensive assault rifle available to the Terrorists. In the late-game, this weapon warrants its cost by providing 100% armor penetration. Such a trait can be game-winning, as you one-shot headshot even the most armored opponents. Using the scope provides increased accuracy and lower recoil, the SG553 is exceptional at long range. Few weapons can stand up to this one
4. Desert Eagle
It might just be me but the Desert Eagle seems better than a lot of the primary weapons in CS:GO. Sure, the Deagle has a small magazine size and heavy recoil but who cares when you can headshot everyone? High accuracy means even the worst players can be competent with this weapon, although it is the most expensive pistol in the game. Combine the effectiveness with the utter satisfaction you feel upon getting double/kills and you have a weapon worthy of the top 5 on this list.
3. M4A4
This is one weapon which can perform a lot of annihilate. Apart from extreme close-range shooting, there will not be an instance where this weapon will not prove to be effective. The jack-of-all-trades weapon!
2. AWP
Arguably one of the most satisfying weapons in gaming history, there’s nothing quite like a sweet AWP headshot. Power and precision defines this weapon, as its capable of one-shotting consistently with high accuracy. If you miss that first shot, your brains will soon be splattered over the floor but even then, the AWP sees major popularity both in casual and competitive play. A steep purchase cost justifies such incredible effectiveness at range!
No 1 on our list of Top 15 Weapons of CS GO is AK-47
This is a weapon which is robust, versatile and has great stopping power. One of the most cost-effective weapons in the game, AK-47 is probably the best gun in CS:GO. With fast reload speeds and high penetrating power, it is a really handy weapon. My personal favorite!
