Made in Brazil (MiBR) are yet again looking for change in their roster, with Ignacio “Meyern” Meyer reportedly on his way out. 24 year old Alencar “TRK” Rossato will replace meyern if reports from Globo Esporte and HLTV are to be believed.
Meyern joined the MiBR squad 6 months back in December 2019 after the Argentinian showed some real potential while playing for Sharks. MiBR were hoping that he could replicate the same performances and finally solve the 5th player hoodoo which has been hurting the team since 2016.
Meyern is currently sitting at a low 0.97 rating out of 2.00. The reports comes after MiBR failed to qualify for the quarterfinals at the ESL One: Road to Rio qualifying. Adding to more frustration, they lost a giant 12:1 lead to Mad Lions at the Grand Finals of Flashpoint S1 to eventually lose the series 2:1.
Adding “TRK ” would make the team an all Brazilian squad again. TRK is a yet another top Brazilian prospect who rose to fame after helping TeamOne defeat Cloud9 at WESG 2017. The original report from Globo Esporte states that MiBR were set to sign him in 2018 too, but the deal fell through because of TRK’s high buyout. MiBR are again looking at the player to bring some fight and re-energize the roster again.
MiBR historically have struggled to fit the 5th player of the team. “Boltz”, “Fnx”, “felps”, “Lucas1” all have come in as the fifth player and have been replaced subsequently. The Brazilian core of “fallen”, “fer” , “taco” & “coldzeera” had reamined intact until “coldzeera” decided to quit for greener pastures.
MiBR have been criticized before for impatience and not dealing with internal issues with eventually lead to “coldzeera” switching teams. It has been more than 2 years since MiBR have fallen from the top. The team has 4 fifth player roster changes in the last two years alone.
“felps” was bought in place of “tarik”. He was then replaced by “Lucas1” after 7 months in the team. Then “Lucas1” was replaced by “meyern” in late December 2019. Now they are set to replace meyern with yeh another Brazilian player in their sights.
If they replace meyern with TRK , MiBR are set to lose 20% of their Regional Major Ranking points. MiBR had managed to collect 950 points from their brief stay at the ESL One: Road to Rio NA qualifying. This would be the second time that the roster would face a penalty for their roster change.
MiBR new roster will look like this:-
- Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo
- Fernando “fer” Alvarenga
- Epitacio “TACO” de Melo
- Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe
- Alencar “trk” Rossato
- Ricardo “dead” Sinigaglia (Coach)
