The last month of the Decade was the best ever for the popular clash of clans

According to data released by Superdata, December was the best month in terms of Revenue for the popular Clash of Clans a strategy game.

What may surprise some is the fact that the game achieved such a milestone despite it being 7 years since its release.

According to the market intelligence firm, Supercell made around $158.2 million in revenue. This was primarily due to the content updates and holiday sales of COC.

The top ten grossing games for December 2019 were as follows:

Clash of Clans

Honour of Kings

Candy Crush Saga

Fate/Grand Order

Last Shelter: Survival

Gardenscapes – New Acres

Homescapes

Monster Strike

Pokemon GO

Roblox

Supercell breathed new life into clash of clans in 2019 by introducing the Gold Pass Subscription. The subscripition is estimated to have generated over $25 million in just its first week of existence. 2019 was also the only year in which the game saw an year-on increase in its revenue.

Other titles released by supercell aren’t doing so bad either. Its recently released app Brawl Stars grossed $422 million in revenue within a year of its release. Doing so, it outdid both Clash of Clans and Clash Royale in Asia.
