MTV and Nodwin Gaming to air Esports content on television

Nodwin gaming in association with MTV have decided to bring esports on air to television with the new show ‘Esports Mania’. The show will go on air by mid December which involves various segments.

The partnership between Nodwin Gaming and MTV confirms the rise in popularity of esports across the nation in the past few years. The move will also allow the games to reach out to the general audience.

Ferzad Palia, Head- Youth, Music and English Entertainment, Viacom18, said, “At MTV we are always looking for new offerings for the young Indian and esports as a category has been gaining popularity with our audiences. In Nodwin Gaming, we have found partners who are already doing ground-breaking work in the space of gaming. And we are glad to bring in the next wave of growth for esports in India.”

The segments of ‘Esports mania’ will have:

  • Match of the week- The most thrilling match along with the highlights from competitions held across the country. This segment will be aired every Thursday at 10 pm starting December 12.

Esports Team OG

Esports 360- All the latest news and buzz in the esports industry. The segment will air every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 4:55 pm starting December 17.

  • World of Esports- A fun and informative quiz show with professional players coming in as guests for interviews. This segment will air from December 20, every Friday at 10:30 pm.
  • Documentary Series- Get to know the lesser known sides of your favourite players in this exclusive documentary series. Get to know the hardships they had to go through to reach the success they desired of. This segment will air every Saturday at 9:30 pm starting December 21.

Recently, Naman “Mortal” Mathur the heartthrob of Indian esports scene was on the cover of the MensXP magazine. Its a huge sense of recognition for the scene.
