Artifact is finally moving on to Artifact Beta 2.0. Artifact, for all those who don’t know is a digital card collectible game developed and published by Valve. IT has a player versus player format where players try to take control of 3 lanes connecting the player and the opponents base. The game although receiving great gameplay reviews did not see many users because of the highly criticized pay to win method.
To solve all of that a reworked version of the same was released in 2020 to address the issues mentioned before. Valve decided to come out with Beta 2.0 for the testing of the new features towards the end of May 25th. They quoted on their official website, “The Beta for the original game started too late and was too short. We’ve decided to approach things a bit differently this time around by gradually inviting people to join us while we are still “Under Construction”.”
This was tweeted by one of the players,
The Artifact Beta 2.0 will be testing quite a lot of stuff including but not limited to Gameplay, Balance, Hero identity etc. They mentioned that the people who get to test the Beta are limited, if you are one of the people who tested Beta 1.0, then you would have already gotten a link in your email, they even mentioned other people will be invited.
The people will be invited randomly. On their official site they mentioned, “We will use a lottery system to invite people who have opted in. Access to the Beta will remain closed until we’ve worked though the signups from players of the original. Communication about the game will remain open for the duration of the Beta.”
