Now Street Fighter is a game which can be traced back to your father’s birth! Developed and published by Capcom. It is something that unites the different generations of gamers, the ones who played it on the arcade machine and the ones playing it on the PCs. So today we’ll be going over all the characters of this game and find out the Top 10 Street fighter characters. Now the list won’t just see who’s the most powerful, but in addition to that we’ll be looking at the back stories. Everyone has a reason for the anger they have within and maybe that is why some characters are loved more

10. Alex

Now we start this countdown with the number 10. Alex was first seen in Street Fighter III, and I believe plays a key role in the story of that game. His Special moves include rolling DDTs, rolling German suplexes and jumping powerbombs.

After proving his stature in the III^rd edition, he also was seen in the V^th part of the series.

9. Chun Li

What makes her entry special and also becomes the reason for her entry is the fact that she was the first female character to be introduced. First seen in the 1991 game Street Fighter II: The World Warrior.

Every female character henceforth is compared to this prodigy right here. She is known for her Spinning Bird Kick which is one powerful move. All this ensures her as being a part of the top 10 street fighter characters.

8. Oro

He obviously is the oldest character on the list with an age around 140 years. I mean what could be said about an old guy who fights with only one of his arms and still is able to compete with these Aces. It can be evidently seen that he has spent all his lifetime mastering his art and spent every moment practicing and perfecting his skills.

7. Gen

He is one of the first characters to be introduced in this game with making an appearance in the first game itself.Now he may not be the most powerful of fighters, But what a fighter needs more than the skills is determination and this man has bags of it! He is known to be the teacher of Chun Li. And when he fell to illnesses he decided to rather give up his life fighting than just lying on bed. Kudos to this great personality through which we all have something to learn, that is to never give up.

6. Cammy White

Also known by her codename KillerBee in the Street fighter Alpha 3 Video Game is one hell of a warrior. She is the second female character to be introduced after Chun-Li.

She was first seen in Super Street Fighter 2. What makes her unique and a part of this Top 10  Street fighter list is her gymnastic assassin fighting style.

5. Vega

Vega was an obvious choice for the top 10. He is one of the most powerful characters. With his ninja assassin style and his blood curdling rage, he is nothing less than a psychotic killer.

Although he doesn’t like to lead but who wants that responsibility anyway. He is that carefree soldier that you should always worry about!

4. M.Bison

M.Bison is not just a great fighter but has a mind of an evil genius.Some might argue that he does not belong in the list of the top 10 street fighter but then again I who can come up with a plan to kill half their enemies, do some errand and even get famous by just organising a tournament.

He is one of the most influential characters and has made a big impact on the lives of so many other fighters. I believe he justifies such a position on this list. To sum up in a line, he is too valuable a villain to be just killed off.

3. Sagat

What makes him a great character is the fact that apart from being a fierce fighter, his journey and back story is just incredible. How he changes due to the circumstances and evolves himself into something better every time is commendable. He is truly that character who we can say is shaped by his past.

2. Akuma

Now here is a guy who is a freak. Where can you find a martial arts God who in some ways can be seen as this amazing guide and having a soft side, but when the other side unleashes itself you are bound to think, what just happened. HE can be termed as ‘beyond evil’.

The fact that he is so self aware that there are no chances of any pride or narcissism left that might hurt his fighting abilities, makes him even more dangerous. He is that man who does what he wants no matter whatever the consequences are. It clearly does not matter to him how he is perceived whether good or bad, I mean he couldn’t care less.

Now guys, we kind of had it coming that this top 10 list of Street Fighters was going to end here. I get it how many people have different opinions but then we look at this character and just everything about him comes to be as perfect as it can be. He is that traditional hardworking fighter who takes everything as a challenge. If you notice there isn’t a trace of heroism in him, each match is a new adventure for him, something he wants to conquer upon. And his back story is probably one of the best.

The inspirational story of that fighter who trains so hard he forgets days and nights. Maybe he might not be the best fighter, with the best technique but he surely will give everything he has into whatever he takes up. One can even go as far as to say he is the centre of this universe; he is the one holding it together.
