Today if we talk about Battle Royale or a deathmatch, we get 2 names that stand out of the rest, PUBG or Call of Duty Mobile. These 2 games have pretty much revolutionised the mobile gaming scene. They have to their names countless hours of gaming which has saved us from being bored by this quarantine. SO today we will be taking these 2 giants against each other comparing various aspects such as their gameplay, weapons and graphics.
Before we start comparing the game, one thing that we need to acknowledge and appreciate is that fact how these games have raised the standard of graphics on mobile games. Apart from the asphalt series these 2 are the only games where you can compare their graphics to PC games.
PUBG Mobile works on Unreal Engine while COD Mobile works on Unity Engine. Both of them have their own characteristics. On one hand where PUBG offers more breathing space to the objects and has a pretty clean graphics, COD provides much more details and the lighting effects are impeccable and far better from its counterpart.
If you look at a player’s dress in COD you will know what I am talking about. It simply blows you away so yeah COD takes this aspect of the game.
PUBG in a way has been the originator of the Battle Royale idea. Where you are stuck on an island with a 100 people and all you have to do is survive and that I believe is what PUBG does best, The Battle Royale Mode. On the other hand COD starts with multiplayer 5v5 games, Deathmatch, Hijack etc.
PUBG too has incorporated these modes but let’s be fair they don’t have the feel to it what COD gives. But honestly they aren’t that bad either, if I have to chose one of them for the gameplay it would be PUBG, simply because we have been playing modes such as deathmatch from the times of CSGO and maybe even COD on consoles, the idea of Battle Royale is a new one and something that has been perfected by PUBG.
So even if the side games come with a flaw or two they are much more than compensated with the delicious Chicken Dinner. Some might argue COD too has a similar mode and has incorporated many new things such as a helicopter or reviving a friend after their death, to them, why don’t you get known to the Payload Mode then! For me PUBG wins this battle.
Weapons are an important front when all the game is about is killing and I can say COD does have a thin edge over PUBG here. They have been in this industry for a long time and they know the shenanigans. Both the games feature a huge choice in weapons including ARs, SMGs, Bolt Action, you name it and they will have it. What gives COD an edge here is the attachments. If you play any of these games regularly you will know that the attachment makes a lot of difference. PUBG too has attachments but they aren’t as seriously approached as they are in COD.
Both the games are spectacular and have huge following in terms of players. Both of them although fundamentally the same , provide different versions as we play them carefully. We can comfortably say that they both are too close to have a chosen winner and that completely depends on your personal bias, but we have provided you with the comparisons and the details and it is upto you to choose between them!
