Chinese Game for Peace getting Structured Esports league

PUBG Mobile’s Chinese version or remake, Game for Peace is set for a structured Esports league. It will feature a league with multiple tiers. These tiers are the –

  • Peacekeeper Elite New-power (PEN)
  • Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL)
  • Peacekeeper Elite Championship (PEC)

The PEN is the bottom stage of the Peacekeeper Elite Esports system. How the league works is that top teams from the PEN will qualify for the PEL in the following season. However, teams from the PEL may also downgrade to the PEN due to poor performance.

The PEL of Game for Peace already begun in Xi’an, China on Oct. 31.

This  league is divided into three stages and has a total of 50 teams.

  • Qualifiers: 50 teams will be assigned to two groups to win 30 slots to proceed to the next stage.
  • Knockout: 30 teams will be divided into three groups to win 15 slots to proceed to the finals.
  • Finals: Top-three teams will earn spots to move directly to PEC.

Gameplays in the PEL will be in both first-person and third-person perspectives. It will be streamed on many Chinese platforms, including Egame, Huya, Douyu, Kuaishou, and QQ video.

The Game for Peace league will finish in the PEC, where 15 teams will battle it out to be crowned as the “ultimate champions”. This season, the PEC is scheduled for Dec. 28 to 29.
