A FIFA modder and YouTuber named Lewis, but better known as FIFER MODS among FIFA gaming circles, has gone and done one of the best things that could have happened to FIFA 20. The Realism Mod. The mod, released for the PC version of the game, has been hailed by many professional FIFA gamers, “as the mod that saved Career Mode.”
ChesnoidGaming, a popular FIFA YouTuber, released a comprehensive video on all the effects and features that the Realism Mod will have on the game. FIFER released the Mod on his Patreon page under two weeks ago and aims to make Career Mode as realistic as possible. For many enthusiastic FIFA gamers, Career mode had been dead in the water for quite some time, so this mod really couldn’t have come at a better time.
With a development time of over 10 months, FIFER has put some intense coding into this mod with hundreds of updates promising to give users more realistic and unique gaming experience. 1. Realistic Sacking/Board Expectations: Due to a large hue and cry over unrealistic sackings in FIFA 19, FIFER added in this handy fix. Additionally, the Board will now place greater importance over league position and European cup competitions than domestic cups.

2. Realistic Gameplay: Darby, Rival and Away games are now naturally harder to play and can take aggressive courses (higher injury chances)
3. Realistic Finances: Higher transport and stadium maintenance costs. Scouting and scouts also cost a lot more than normal FIFA games.
4. Realistic AI Team Selection: No longer will the AI be putting out terrible teams for important games! The AI will put out their best 11 for most matches, but against lesser opposition or if they play two to four days before a big game, will put out rotated sides.
5. Realistic Player Growth: Dynamic potential (Form) will have a significant part to play in determining a player’s growth, over just raw potential stats. Essentially, even if a player has high potential, if he doesn’t play well he won’t grow as well.
6. Realistic Player Valuation: Stars of the Football pitch (Mbappe, Ronaldo, etc.) are now incredibly difficult to buy. Form and Morale can both positively or negatively affect a players valuation
7. Realistic Transfers, Loans, and Negotiations: English players will not leave England easily (Big wage boosts/large signing bonuses). Teams now will pay considerably more for players on Deadline Day, and won’t be sending out their best players on loan. Players won’t move to rival teams, and negotiation with clubs won’t always be smooth sailing, as they have been modded to counter and decline more often.
