Electronic Arts with FIFA has decided to encourage people into staying inside their homes by introducing the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Stay and Play Cup as a part of EA’s “Stay home, Play together“ challenge. This tournament brings together 20 of the most historic football clubs together playing head to head in FIFA 20 from April 15-19, including football clubs like Ajax, Chelsea, Real Madrid etc.
Each of the clubs has nominated a player from their squad to represent the club in this tournament. This tournament comes as an initiative to encourage people to stay at their homes and is expected to be broadcasted live for millions of viewers to watch. The tournament comes after a previous esports tournament organised of the same sorts where the Real Madrid player Marco Asensio won.

“We want to bring the global football community together with the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Stay and Play Cup, so millions of fans can experience the thrill of their favorite clubs and professional footballers playing — even when we have to be apart,” said Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts.
Apart from this Electron Arts will also be donating a sum of $1 Million to a relief fund following the COVID-19 outbreak.
The tournament too will feature the ability for fans to donate for the cause while the matches are going on. This comes in addition to the money FIFA has already donated to various charities for the pandemic.
