NVIDIA G-SYNC tech first debuted in 2013. It functions by introducing Variable Refresh Rates or VRR that syncs up the refresh rate of the display with the GPU’s frame rate for optimized performance. These are highly optimised for gaming and aim at providing sharper reaction times. Specifically in genres like battle royale or shooter where every millisecond can make a difference.
NVIDIA has announced new G-SYNC displays with a refresh rate of 360Hz. Esports enthusiast and gamers now have opportunity to game with the fastest gaming displays ever made. For those wondering how these refresh rates impact gaming, the answer is simple: higher refresh speeds can translate to improved performance during gameplay. At 360Hz game frames will be displayed every 2.8ms.
This would be via the Asus ROG Swift 360 monitor that is releasing at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) show in Las Vegas from January 5th to 10th. The display will be available later this year and works in collaboration with Nvidia’s RTX line of GPUs that will provide refresh rates of less than 3 milliseconds on a 24.5-inch, fully 1080p HD gaming panel.
Developed and designed for Esport Pros, the ASUS ROG swift 360 is specifically designed esport competitions. Developed in collaboration with NVIDIA, the Swift 360 features include –
