The list is led by Danish Andreas “Xp9x” Højsleth currently leads the list, earning over $1.74 million in January. The 24 year old has competed in over 150 competitions as part of team Astralis.
The second person on the list is Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, also from Denmark. His earnings also exceed $1.74 million. He has competed in 136 tournaments so far.
The third position on the list is also occupied by a Danish person, who goes by the name of Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz . His earnings exceed $1.7 million, and he has played in 130 tournaments.
The statistics listed above further show the resurgence of one of the OGs of first-person shooters. According to statistics recorded in 2019, counter-strike had 20 million monthly active users on average, twice the amount of players online in 2016.
