ESL Pro League Day 4 Preview

It is Day 4 at the ESL Pro League S10 finals and it is time to decide the two remaining semi finals spots available. Na’Vi and Astralis have already qualified for the semis after beating Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid respectively. The two defeated teams from that matches EG and Liquid will battle out against Mousesports and Fnatic respectively. Here is a preview of both the games:

1. Team Liquid vs Fnatic 16:00 CET (23:40 IST)

The first quarter finals see Liquid going against Swedish giants Fnatic in a Bo3 series. Liquid enter the match as hot favourites but one cannot underestimate the Fnatic squad.Bringing back “Golden” as their IGL seems to have done magic. Also worth noticing is that Fnatic have brought their old style of play back to the table. “JW” is hitting Vac worthy shots again and “flusha” is being flusha again.

But going against the #2 ranked team is no easy task. Liquid have also shown good form after a dip in mid 2019. The downturn in form was largely due to inconsistent performances by “Naf” which the Canadian has overturned. In the match against Astralis “Naf” had the most kills on the entire server even though Liquid did not win.”Elige” and “Twistzz” have performed consistently throughout the year and are considered to be the best aimers North America has ever produced.

With Liquid not having Train in their map pool and Fnatic banning Vertigo, we can see the more regular and popular maps being played out.

They might not be able to beat Astralis but Liquid are better than most of the teams out there and should win this out.

2. Evil Geniuses vs Mousesports 19:50 CET (00:20 IST, Thursday)

The second quarter final sees yet another NA team battling out for the last remaining semi final spot. They go against “karrigan” led Mousesports who continue to look impressive. After winning the StarSeries Season 8 title in China Mousesports have shown an uptick in form with the entire squad clicking together. “Woxic” is considered by many a very dangerous awper to go head with, sum it with the calmness of “Ropz” and the strats deployed by “karrigan”; Mousesports can prove to be a fatal opponent.

EG though one of the best teams in the world have shown some inconsistency in recent weeks. But if on song EG become a very difficult team to beat and can topple any opposition. The driving force behind EG’s fame has been the form of “Brehze” and “Cerq”. If these two fire it will be difficult for Mouz to stop them in their path.

This can easily be a 3 map series and expect Overpass to be banned either by Mousesports or EG.

Considering the firepower and experience EG possess one can expect EG to come out  victorious.

ESL Pro League Day 4 Preview If the results go as expected the four semi finalists may include Astralis, Team Liquid, Evil Geniuses and Natus Vincere, 4 of the best teams in the world going against each other.
