Widely popular mobile game, Candy Crush Saga has announced free, unlimited lives for the game till April 5th. This is part of a United Kingdom government and Who Health Organization campaign called #PlayApartTogether. This WHO campaign has teamed up with numerous video game companies including King, the makers of Candy Crush Saga. Following this agreement, the game now has the message : ‘Stay At Home, Save Lives’ presented randomly. King has included the rest of its titles in the campaign. Besides this UK developers Codemasters is displaying images of ‘Stay At Home’ posters in the upcoming Dirt Rally 2.0 game.

DCMS secretary of state Oliver Dowden said: “It is absolutely vital that we all follow the simple government advice to stay at home. Protect the NHS and save lives. I’m delighted to see the UK’s brilliant video games industry stepping up to strongly reinforce this message to gamers across the UK.”

Seven games were updated with free lives : Candy Crush Saga, Candy Crush Soda Saga, Candy Crush Jelly Saga, Candy Crush Friends Saga, Farm Heroes Saga, Bubble Witch 3 Saga and Pet Rescue Saga. The thousands of tough puzzles available in the game is bound to take up time. And with the unlimited number of lives you can play this game for as long as you want.

“It’s never been more critical to ensure people stay safely connected to one another”. Said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, which has also joined in support of the campaign.”Games are the perfect platform because they connect people through the lens of joy, purpose and meaning. We are proud to participate in such a worthwhile and necessary initiative.”
