PlayStation which is widely known as PS, is a home video game console. PlayStation is developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The latest PlayStation is PlayStation 5 is yet to be released. PS is the very first choice of home game console as the graphics, controller’s quality, and games offered are unmatched by PlayStation competitors. PlayStation has always had tough competition with Xbox. Xbox is also a home video game console. Crated and manufactured by Microsoft.
PlayStation 5 –
The console’s form was revealed during the 11 June, 2020 presentation.
PS 5 is the successor of PS 4 which was released in India on 6 January 2014. The expected release date of PS 5 is 4th quarter of 2020. PS 5 is expected to launch in two varieties as a base PlayStation system incorporating a Blu-ray compatible disk drive for retail game support alongside digital distribution via the PlayStation App store.
PlayStation 5 comes with 8 core AMD Zen 2, variable frequency, up to 3.5 GHz. PS 5 comes with 16 GB of memory and custom 825 GB SSD. Video output formats are HDMI: 480p, 720p, 1080p, 4K ultra HD and 8K ultra HD. PlayStation 5 comes with AMD RDNA 2 graphics with variable frequency up to 2.23 GHz and it also supports Tempest Engine 3D audio. PlayStation 5 also comes with VR supported games.
DESIGN OF PLAYSTATION 5 –
During its 11 June reveal event, Sony finally showed off exactly what the new PlayStation 5 looks like. Similar to the dual Sense controller, it supports a two tone White and black design, with glowing lights embedded between the two. The rest of the design of the PlayStation 5 is the same as the previous PlayStation’s. The black and white design of the new PS looks really cool.
PS 5 ACCESSORIES –
Along with the reveal of the console’s look, Sony detailed several accessories that it will make available along with the console. Here is the list so far –
PULSE 3D –
Pulse 3D, a wireless headset offering 3D audio support and dual noise-cancelling microphones.
HD camera –
HD camera, featuring dual 1080p lens for gamers to broadcast themselves along with their epic gameplay moments
MEDIA REMOTE –
Media remote is a remote control with a built in microphone to navigate movies and streaming services with ease.
DUAL SENSE –
Dual sense, a charging station for convenient charging of Dual Sense wireless controllers.
Sony hasn’t given any release date or price point for any of its PlayStation 5 accessories.
PLAYSTATION 5 UI –
PlayStation 5’s new user interface allows players to see more details about friend’s games without opening the application themselves. Multiplayer game server will provide the console with joinable activities in real time. Single player games will provide information about missions and rewards one can receive after doing missions. All of the choices will be available in the UI. Players can jump into wherever they want.
PS 5 HARDWARE –
The playstation 5 uses AMD’s 7nm Zen 2 microarchitecture with 8 CPU cores running at a variable frequency capped at 3.5 GHz. A custom SSD storage solution was defined for the PS 5 to increase data input and output rates for fast loading times and larger bandwidth. This speed allows games to be more immersive and support 8K resolution.
PS 5 has 825 GB of SSD connected via a 12-channel interface to the main system, achieving a 5.5 GB transfer rate uncompressed and 8 to 9 GB when compressed. Sony is also developing improved support for suspended gameplay state for the PS 5 to consume less energy than PS 4 .
PS 5 CONTROLLERS –
The new DualSense controllers for the PS 5 was revealed on April 7, 2020. The DualSense controller is based on the DualShock controllers but with modifications influenced by discussion with game designers and players. These controllers have adaptive triggers with haptic feedback that can change the resistance to the player as necessary, supporting an experience such as drawing an arrow from bow.
PS 5 SUPPORTED GAMES –
At its 11 June PS 5 reveal event, Sony detailed a big list of games that are coming to the next-gen console, including several exclusives.

PS 5 PRICE –
Price of PS 5 is not yet revealed by SONY. Price of PS 5 is expected to be 500 USD. In India the price of PS 5 can be nearly 32,999 RS for 1 TB. While the price of the PS 4 for 1 TB was 29900 RS. Sony didn’t make much increment in the pricing of the PS 5 as compared to PS 4. So PS 5 could be a great deal to grab even just after launch considering the price as compared to its features.
HOW TO CONNECT PS WITH TV –
1. Locate the HDMI out port on the back of the console.
2. Plug in an HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the PlayStation.
3. Locate the HDMI port on your television. Plug the HDMI cable in the television.
4. Plug the power in PlayStation console, and turn on the console.
5. Switch the TV to the input source your TV PlayStation is running into. The button for this is often labelled “Source” or “Input” in your TV remote. Once the right source is picked one can see the PS4 screen pop up.
WISHLIST GAMES FOR PS 5 –
During its reveal event Sony presented a big list of games which will support PS 5 and some games from that list were PS 5 exclusive games. But here is the wishlist of games that should be launched for PS 5 –
GTA 6 –
GTA (GRAND THEFT AUTO) 6 is the much awaited game as of now. Last GTA game GTA V was launched on 17 SEPTEMBER 2013. GTA games are launched by Rockstar games. It’s been 13 years since players are waiting for the 6th instalment of GTA. So if GTA 6 is launched in 4th quarter of 2020 it will make GTA fans on seventh sky. GTA 6 is an open world shooting game which is based
on a city of UNITED STATES. Players have to complete missions to complete the story of the game. GTA offers extremely realistic graphics, realistic cars, environment and challenging missions which makes the game super interesting and enjoyable.
KERBAL SPACE PROGRAM 2 –
Kerbal space program is the sequel to the acclaimed space-fight simulation game. Kerbal space program enters the next generation of space exploration with exciting new parts, stunning visuals, colony building, interstellar travel, enhanced modding and multiplayer mode.
ACTION HALF LIFE –
Action half is a mod for the first person shooter video game Half- Line. It strives to simulate action movies, especially those directed by John Woo. The traditional mode of this game is team deathmatch. In the start of the match players must choose a gun, unique weapon and a special item. This game is still played by many gamers. If this game is launched for PS it will fulfill the wish of many gamers. This game is currently only available on windows.
MODERN COMBAT 5 –
Modern Combat is a very popular game series. The game was launched for Windows in 2014. But Modern Combat is still not available for PS. Modern Combat is a famous First Person Shooter game developed and launched by Gameloft. Game has realistic guns and very attractive graphics. Modern Strike still rules in the hearts of many FPS gamers.
SIX GUNS GANG SHOWDOWN –
Six guns’ showdown is a third person open world game developed by Gameloft initially in 2011. Six guns showdown was launched for windows in 2013. Six guns is a wild west styled open world game. The game allows the players to roam about on horse or on foot and complete missions as a man named Buck Crosshaw, across two maps, Arizona (with deserts) and Oregon (forest and mountains). In game currency allows players to buy weapons, clothing and horses.
Many gamers liked this game but this game is still not available on PS. If this game comes on PS, it will be played by so many people.
GETTING OVER IT –
Getting over it with Bennett Foody is a platform video game developed by Bennett Foody. Game was released in October 2017 and it was played by nearly 2.7 million players. Getting over it revolves around a man named Diogenes resides in a large metal cauldron – and wields a hammer, which he uses to grip objects and move himself. Using the mouse or trackpad player tries to move the man’s upper body and sledge hammer in order to climb a steep mountain. The game is accompanied by voice over commentary by Bennett Foody.
Getting over it still didn’t come for PS players. This game is really challenging and enjoyable as well.
PlayStation is the very first console game. PS offers better build quality controllers, so many games to play, reasonable price which gets PS an edge over its competitors. If you are planning to buy a new PS, then I’ll suggest you to wait for the launch of PS 5. As there is not much price difference between PS4 and PS5.
So in this case PS 5 will be a ‘value for money’ deal. The reason behind the value for money deal is that PS 5 comes with a better design, better quality controller, a lot of exclusive PS 5 games and support for all PS 4 games. So clearly PS 5 is going to be a better deal if you are planning to purchase a new PlayStation. So let’s wait till the launch of PS 5 and see what else it has to offer.
